Romania’s BCR adopts logo of its main shareholder Erste
The official, Nicolae Danila, noted that changes made to date have focused on the internal structure of the bank but from now changes will also be based on external factors. The biggest change in the new logo is the addition of a red “S” to the BCR name - the symbol of Erste’s saving banks.

BCR will keep its name as it is a popular bank in Romania and people can relate to the existing name easier. Danila said the bank will continue to expand its network and will focus on the retail sector and large companies.

BCR spent 11.4 million euros in the first six months to integrate into Erste, which purchased the bank’s majority stake last year, according to Erste president Andreas Treichl.

BCR fueled 101 million euros to its parent bank’s consolidated profit in the first half of the year. Erste announced that it has maintained the 40 percent profit increase estimated for BCR this year against the previous.
