Romania’s foreign debt increased slightly in July

Banks have about one third of foreign debt. Finances attracted by lenders and private companies increase Romania’s foreign debt. The balance of non-guaranteed debt on a long and medium term is worth €29.13 billion, 16.4 percent higher compared to the end of 2007. “July’s evolution has to do with the foreign exchange rate and international lending conditions,” said the Manager of Applied Economy Group (GEA), analyst Liviu Voinea.
