Production in the processing industry dropped 4 percent while output in the electricity and thermal industry decreased 7.9 percent. The capital goods industry went down 20.2 percent in August against July together with the intermediary goods industry (5.4 percent).
Increases were seen in the long term goods industry (23.9 percent), the energy industry (4.1 percent) and current use goods industry (0.3 percent). Industrial production went up 4.5 percent year-on-year in August.
The increase was the result of the positive results seen in the extractive industry (up 7.7 percent) and the manufacturing industry (up 4.6 percent). Revenues in the industry went up 3.7 percent in August against the same month last year.
