Average net salaries in the financial industry stood at 2,653 lei, while the lowest net average salaries were in the wood processing industry, amounting to 605 lei. INS shows the average gross salary stood at 1,395 lei, down 0.5 percent against the previous month.
The salary increases in August were based on premiums, salary negotiations or higher productivity. Increases were recorded in the forestry sector, the mining industry and oil processing.
INS noted revenues in the services industry went up 0.4 percent in August against July. Also, revenues in the retail industry, excepting car and motorcycle sales, rose 15.9 percent in August against July this year.
