Romania’s youth are optimistic but conservative

These youth are among the most optimistic in Central and Eastern Europe in terms of economic evolution in the coming years, according to a poll conducted by Bank Austria, a division of UniCredit.

Regarding perspectives in terms of their own economic situation, Romanian youth ranked second in the region, behind Kazakhstan. Romanians said they are more inclined to work for a national company, while only 19 percent want to work for an international group.

The launch of foreign companies on the Romanian market is regarded positively. Some 13 percent of Romanians say the best solution would be to work outside Romania in the coming three years, compared to the 10 percent average in neighboring countries.
