Romania to spend €75 mln to promote tourism
The International Advertising Association (IAA Romania), the Romanian Association for Public Relations Professionals (ARPP), and the Union of Romanian Advertising Agencies (UAPR) will offer advisory services to prepare the tender book for the international “Romanian Tourism Brand” auction, to be held this fall.

“We appreciate the initiate of the government to allocate €75 million to promote Romania. This is a significant budget which will allow Romania to work with the world’s best communication agencies,” said Felix Tataru, President of IAA Romania.

The President of UAPR, Stefan Iordache, believes that the association of the three professional marketing and communication companies for the joint project is “an sign of Romanian market maturation.”

Speaking about this project, the President of ARRP, Rares Petrisor, said that this is an excellent initiative, and that “Romanian tourism is about to be born.”

The development and promotion of the Romanian tourism brand is one of the main projects of the Ministry of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Trade, Tourism and Liberal Professions for the 2007-2013 period, to be financed with structural funds. (NewsIn)
