Actor, musician and radio producer Florian Pittis, who passed away on August 5 because of prostate cancer, will be buried at Belu Cemetery on August 7, in the evening, according to people from the Bucharest City Hall.
Pittis was hospitalized a week ago, according to Oncology Institute representatives who refused to give any details on his condition the past few days. The 63-year old musician had been sick for more than a year.
Born in 1943, Pittis was one of the founders of folk-rock band Pasarea Colibri, very popular among Romanians. He also played several parts in locally produced movies and theatre plays.
He ran the sole online radio station in Romania, Radio3Net.
