More 161,000 vehicles were produced in Romania in the first seven months of 2008, 12.2 percent higher year-on-year, of which 151,000 were cars.
Renault is to invest some €300 million in Automobile Dacia by 2009, to increase production capacity from 350,000 cars per year to 400,000 cars annually. Ford also plans to launch production in Romania next year.
