Romanian based pharmaceuticals producer Biofarm boosts share capital by 66.6%, to EUR 27.7m

The company’s share capital now stands at 97.75 million lei. Shareholders bought 38.63 million lei worth of shares while the Romanian state received 4.33 million shares in exchange for a plot of land it has given to the company.

A total of 427 million shares were issued. Some 40.87 million were bought. The company’s share capital is now divided into 977.5 million shares, at a face value of 0.10 lei.

Biofarm’s nine-month net profit stood at 11.64 million lei, up 17.28 percent against the same period last year. The drugmaker’s total revenues in the first nine months of the year rose to 47 million lei, up 11.5 percent against 2006.
