Sales made by Romanian enterprises totaled €15.13 mln, while purchases amounted to €12 mln. The number of accounts through which local retail investors made acquisitions on the Stock Exchange reached 5,459 in January, while individuals purchased through 244 accounts.
Foreign investors were net buyers in January, bringing €1.6 mln on BVB, but the funds traded by non-resident investors were some three times lower than those of local investors. In January, foreigners bought shares worth €13 mln on BVB, while the value of acquisitions made by Romanians amounted to €35.32 mln, according to BVB data.
Most traded companies in this year’s first month were those of lender Banca Transilvania and of the five financial investment companies (SIF).
