Romanian economy sees nine-month investments up 29.1% helped by the construction industry

Nine-month investments totaled 39.36 billion lei (11.3 billion euros.)

Third-quarter investments in the Romanian economy went up 32.4 percent against the same period last year. Third-quarter investments saw a 5.3 billion lei (1.53 billion euros) increase in current prices.

The better-than-expected result came after money was pumped in the construction industry, transportation and other expenditures. Investments in the construction industry stood at 19.25 billion lei while investments in transportation totaled 17.53 billion lei, in the first nine months of the year.
