Romanian restaurant operator Trotter Restaurant posts 60% boost in turnover in 2007

It posted revenues of 8 million euros in 2007.

Trotter Restaurant targets 50 percent hike in turnover this year, to around 12 million euros. It will invest some 2 million euros to open six coffee shops and at least three restaurants this year, said the company's owner, Catalin Mahu.

The company's profit in 2007 represents 15 percent of the revenues, Mahu added.

La Mama opened its first restaurant in 1999, in Bucharest, and counts seven units now. It has around 500 employees and reached some 4,000 clients every day last year. Its main competitors are City Grill and Gregory's.

Trotter Restaurant has two Cafepedia units, one in downtown Bucharest and another one in the central city of Alba Iulia. Its main competitors are Crem Caffe and Turabo.
