Their demands are more flexible, as they are willing to make compromises as far as their profession is concerned.
“For some specialists in the financial services field, finding a job in their [home] country is more difficult, because their business areas are either rare or non-existent in Romania,” according to Alexander Hughes company’s Head of Research, Silviana Boian. “Candidates are willing to accept positions that do not exactly match their career expectations,” she added.
Salaries accepted by specialists returning home amount to €4,000-6,000 for middle management positions and €7,000-9,000 for top managers. “Although salaries offered in Romania are lower than those received abroad, to which bonuses were added, even doubling the revenues, repatriation is beneficial if we consider the living standards in Romania,” according to HR Dynamics consulting company’s CEO, Iulia Ichim.
Demands in 2009 from specialists working abroad in the IT, construction, pharmaceutical, telecom, and financial-banking sectors have doubled year-on-year, she added.
