Romania is European leader as regards index drops, while Bulgaria ranks second, with a 14.3 percent decline. The BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies (SIF) fell 22 percent last week, while the BET index lost 18 percent.
“This would be the fifth wave of drops, which, theoretically, is the strongest, but should also be the last,” said Adrian Ceuca, Deputy General Manager of Broker Cluj.
“This week, I expect a new downward trend, with new lows on global markets. The local market will also be influenced, as foreign markets are the most important aspect for BVB,” said Adrian Lupsan Deputy General Manager of the Intercapital Invest brokerage firm.
