Romanian stocks saw slight decreases at closing yesterday on halved liquidity

Liquidity slumped 50 percent to 15.67 million lei (4.22 million euros) from 31.3 million lei in the previous session.

The main European bourses posted slight decreases on closing today. The FTSE index in London lost 0.61 percent to 5,880.1, the DAX index in Frankfurt fell 0.54 percent to 6,740.61 and the CAC40 index in Paris decreased 0.53 percent to 4,885.78.

In Romania, the BET index of the ten top companies on BSE inched 0.14 percent to 7,118,75 and the BET-C composite index measuring all listed shares minus investment funds dropped 0.52 percent to 5,059.14.

The BET-FI index of the five financial companies SIFs lost 0.21 percent to 53,767.42 and the ROTX index for trading blue-chips in Vienna fell 0.07 percent to 16,167.43.

Shares of BRD SocGen (BRD), the country's second lender by assets, were the most liquid today with deals of 2.24 million lei and gained 1.44 percent to 21.10 lei, followed by SIF Moldova (SIF2) which idled at 24.10 lei on trades of 1.94 million lei.

SIF Muntenia (SIF4) totalized 1.48 million lei and lowered 1.21 percent to 1,63 lei while Banca Transilvania (TLV), the fifth lender by assets lost 0.68 percent to 0.745 lei at 1.47 million lei liquidity.

SIF Oltenia (SIF5) inched 0.34 percent to 2.94 lei on deals of 1.34 million lei and SIF Banat-Crisana (SIF1) lost 0.39 percent to 2.56 lei on trades of 1.13 million lei. Impact Developer & Contractor (IMP) hiked 2.65 percent to 0.232 lei. Erste Bank (EBS), listed on the international tier of the BSE, fell 1.11 percent to 160.50 lei.

Gas operator Transgaz Medias (TGN) idled at 229 lei. Aluminum profile maker Alumil Rom Industry (ALU) gained 1.92 percent to 5.30 lei.
