Romanian tourists spent some €30 million for Easter and May Day vacation

The occupancy rate for seaside accommodation is estimated at 90 percent. Some 18,000 people were present yesterday on the seaside, according to the press officer at Romanian National Tourist Agencies Association (ANAT) Traian Badulescu. He added that Greece, Bulgaria and Turkey were the first three foreign destinations chosen by Romanian tourists. 

Aurel Pavel, General Manager of tourist agency J'Info Tours, said 90 percent of clients chose foreign destinations, at an average price of €200 per offer. 

For May Day, Romanians traditionally go to picnics outside the cities or go to the seaside.
