People working in constructions, health or gastronomy have the biggest salaries abroad. One can earn up to 3,000 euros per month in the healthcare industry in Switzerland, versus only 353 euros, the average wage in Romania. Swiss employers offer workers some 2,000 euros in agriculture while in Romania the average wage stands around 300 euros.
Spain gives big salaries for jobs in transportation, constructions or industry, earnings being up to six times bigger than in Romania. The average wage in transportation varies from 1,100 euros to 2,300 euros compared to Romania’s average salary worth 362 euros. Salaries stand around 975 - 1,600 euros in constructions and from 870 euros to 1,300 euros in industry compared to Romania’s average wages (around 340 euros).
ANOFM sent some 30,000 workers abroad in the first eight months of the year. Their number decreased around 30 percent against last year. More than 80 percent of Romanians went to Germany to work in agriculture, health or gastronomy, with contracts of three months to three years. Some 5,000 workers went to Spain, 27 to Switzerland and 55 to France.
