Romanian workers in Italy demand minimum €600 wage to return home
According to MMFES data, more than a half of those attending the Rome employment fair said they work illegally in Italy, while over 13 percent indicated that they are unemployed. To return to work in Romania, most workers want wages between €600-€800, with some willing to accept as little as €450 and others demanding over €1,000.

700 workers attended the fair, most of them from the northern Moldavia region (Vrancea, Neamt, Bacau and Botosani Counties) and southern Romania, including Bucharest. (NewsIn)
