Foreign investors acquired shares worth €45.3 million, far from last year’s figures, which easily exceeded €100 mln in a month. Foreigners also sold shares worth €42.2 million, one of the lowest values this year.
The stock exchange was subject to a strong decline in July, when the SIFs lost an average 25 percent, while the BET index of the ten most liquid companies decreased 8.5 percent.
Romanians became net sellers again on the market in July, after their investment balance was positive in June, with a €3.2 mln plus. Sales in July amounted to €102.2 mln, €10 mln more than in June, with the net balance at a €2.4 mln minus.
