“Our 2008 budget had already been adjusted to €75 million from €50 million, and will be adjusted again,” company officials told Business Standard. They added that the company’s business in this year’s first nine months has more than doubled year-on-year.
Romprest is maintaining its 2009 development plans, according to Florin Bolchis, Vice President. The company’s investment plan includes €60 mln by 2010. Also, the firm will have over 6,000 employees in 2009, compared to its current 5,800.
“We are not affected by the crisis because we have strong shareholders. However, I believe Romania will be affected in the second quarter of 2009, considering that many companies end the financial-banking year on 1 April,” Bolchis told Business Standard.
