Romstal group turnover up 65% in 2007

Market leader for thermal, hydro and sanitation equipment, ceramic tiles, illumination devices and electrical equipment, the group’s Romstal division posted turnover of over €313 million internationally, 48 percent higher year-on-year. Turnover in Romania alone in 2007 was some €200 mln, 40 percent higher year-on-year.

The Romstal group is estimating 30 percent growth in turnover in 2008, up to €650 mln.

As part of its regional expansion program, Romstal has finalized the construction of two warehouses in Bucharest and Deva.

The group is currently present in Romania, Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, the Republic of Moldova and Italy, and includes Romstal, Valrom Industrie, Valplast Industrie, Autoklass Center, Belform Prod, Dezim Development, IOS Software Solutions, Central Service Instal, and City Garden Distribution. It also expanded to Serbia in 2007 by taking over the Doming d.o.o company.

Shareholders are Enrico Perini, with 51 percent, the Italian Framan company, with 40 percent, and businessman Ovidiu Henter, with 9 percent.
