Leasing contracts closed in H1 amounted to some €87.6 million, according to company officials. Apart from this development, the rise in value of contracts is also due to a promotional interest rate strategy enforced by the company.
"The main factor for this increase is territorial development, with our 10 new units. The instant SMS [short message service] leasing, together with the promotional 6.75 percent interest rate, also contributed significantly to the results we had in the first six months," according to Romstal Leasing Marketing Manager, Ionut Chirila.
Most of the 2,500 leasing contracts in H1 were for light and heavy commercial vehicles (43 percent), while a further 38.5 percent were for cars.
Given the rise in contract volume in H1, Romstal Leasing plans to further invest in development in the second semester of 2007. By the end of the year, the company aims to increase its network to 32 units throughout the country.
