Romtelecom doubles number of internet corporate clients

"We are currently leaders of the internet access market for companies, with a 31 percent share, according to internal estimates based on market reports," Makowski said. 

He added 90 percent of its data center in Bucharest is used by 60 large corporate clients in financial-banking, retail, pharma and auto sectors. 

At the end of last month, the operator announced it has a total 500,000 clients for internet services, of which 400,000 are individual clients and 100,000 are companies, both large ones and small and medium enterprises. 

On the internet services segment for companies, Romtelecom's main competitors are RCS&RDS, UPC, Orange and Vodafone. The company is controlled by Greek telecom group OTE.
