By the end of the year, the group plans to open a further six locations, with total investments exceeding €1 million, according to the division CEO, Sebi Vasilescu.
"In the first 12 months, these locations are to generate €2 million worth of business. We plan to open a further seven units in Romania and to enter the Bulgarian market," Vasilescu said. Next year's investments are likely to amount to €1.4 million, to be amortized in some two years.
Other cafe chains operating on the local market are Starbucks, Gloria Jean's and Centro.
Businessman Octavian Radu also plans to invest in the energy sector and to open a store in New York.
RTC Holding is one of the largest retail and distribution groups in Romania. Its eight divisions registered turnover totaling €220 million last year.
