RWE voices interest in becoming major player on Romania’s energy market

The same sources noted that the company is drafting a project for the construction of reactors 3 and 4 at the nuclear plant at Cernavoda. The company is interested in investing as much as is needed in the project, the company’s general manager for Eastern Europe, Klaus Buhl said.

The company believes that Romanian energy companies must be privatized for investors to set up integrated companies and create competition on the market.

Buhl added that the Romanian government should say if investors will be allowed to take part in the creation of a company the state wants to set up. The company submitted a letter to the government regarding this project but no meeting has been established.
