SabMiller Romanian sales up 18%

SabMiller, one of the main international beer producers, posted an 18 percent increase in beer sales in the third quarter in 2007, some three times higher than the sales growth in the Czech Republic, Poland, and Russia, according to a company press release. Europe registered a 4 percent increase in lager sales in Q3, compared to the same period in 2006, when winter weather was more clement and sales rose by 9 percent.

SabMiller is present on the Romanian market through Ursus Romania, one of the top five domestic beer producers.
