The most expensive model to be sold here to date is the yellow gold Vertu Signature, worth €22,500, and the company is expecting to sell over 220 phones this year. Price range from €3,900-€100,000, depending on materials (gold, platinum, diamonds, sapphire) used. All phones are hand-made in the United Kingdom and design by Frank Nuovo.
The phones are presently sold in Cellini stores, and the first Vertu store will be launched in 2009. According to analysts, Vertu sells some 200,000 units a year, at an average price of €5,000, which makes up some 3 percent of Nokia worldwide sales.
