Although three companies initially made a tender, Vigotex, Mecano Fuc and Europrest, only the first presented itself for the auction. The company’s legal liquidator, Corneliu Mititelu, indicated on Monday that Vigotex will carry on with same activity objective at the Abrom factory.

“Vigotex will carry out a market study to determine the possible volume and number of people needed to start activity at the unit. The buyer will be able to start production whenever he wants, as he has the necessary brands and patents registered by OSIM [Ed. n. Romanian State Office for Inventions and Trademarks],” said Mititelu.

As soon as the factory was sold, former employees were hoping to recover their outstanding salaries, amounting to some RON 1,000,000. (NewsIn)
