Before the crisis broke out, Scandia Romania had an investment budget worth €20-40 million for expanding its production.
“Until the crisis ends, we do not know anything about investment budgets. We are unable to make long-term estimates,” Scandia General Manager, Adrian Gaspar, told Business Standard.
The company has an ongoing €30 million investment project. It is building a new factory for the production of tinned and cold meats, to be finalized in 2009.
Currently, Scandia has a daily production capacity of some ten tons of cold meats at its Sibiu factory in central Romania. The factory has the capacity to produce 2,000 tons of tinned meat every month.
