Schoenherr: We will have a Romanian equity partner in 2010

“We will probably have a Romanian as international partner in 2010,” said Lindinger.

The Romanian branch of Schoenherr is led by Sebastian Gutiu. The equity partner position involves participation in profit obtained internationally by the company.

Schoenherr, one of the largest law firms in Austria, has been present in Romania since 1996, and has offices in Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia and Ukraine.

The Romanian business law market is expected to rise to €150-200 million this year. Most important players are Nestor Nestor Diculescu Kingston Petersen, Tuca Zbarcea&Asociatii, Bostina si Asociatii, Musat&Asociatii, Linklaters, and Popovici Nitu&Asociatii. Schoenherr’s clients in Romania include real estate developers Europolis and Immorent, Banca Comerciala Romana (BCR), UniCredit Leasing, and Julius Baer Investment Management investment fund.
