“Last year’s results were below expectations. The retail was much weaker than the budget drafted in June,” Horia Chitu, Chief Executive Officer of Scop Computers, told Business Standard. He added that the sharpest drop was in November, both on the retail and distribution segments, following a very good October. The distributor’s sales amounted to some €12 million in December.
Regarding the company’s evolution in 2009, company officials planned a five percent growth rate in this year’s first half, considering the financial crisis and the close dependence on budgetary expenses. “I hope the market does not drop by more than 10 percent,” said Chitu.
