Servtrans Invest is part of International Railway Systems (IRS) Group, European leader in merchandise railway cars production, controlled by local businessman Cristian Burci.
“Following this acquisition, Servtrans plans for turn the firm [Trans Confer] into a modern maintenance center,” according to Servtrans General Manager, George Buruiana, for Business Standard. This will lead to lower maintenance costs for the transportation company.
IRS plans to further develop on both local and foreign markets. Company officials recently announced the takeover of a 49 percent share package in railway holding Friulexport, together with a strategic investor.
Buruiana did not provide the deal’s value, but said the company is “very important” for Servtrans.
