The financial investment company will merge all 49 county capital tourism companies it controls, worth €250 million, under the same brand, and plans to list Aro Palace on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), according to SIF Transilvania's President, Mihai Fercala. "This is a result of our intention to own a significant hotel chain on the market", he added.
The five SIFs in Romania own stocks in several state-owned or partially state-owned companies, including hotels and resorts.
A similar merger process will be made in the resort field, under the name of Turism Felix, while the companies which SIF Transilvania owns on the seaside will be united under the name THR Marea Neagra.
On the leasing segment, SIF3 plans to merge companies Transilvania Leasing and Bianca Leasing, in which it has controlling interests.
