SIFs fail to recover and loose a further 2.1%

Most-traded shares were those of SIF 4 Muntenia, which lost 1.46 percent, against a backdrop of transactions exceeding €2 million. SIF Moldova and SIF Banat-Crisana lost some 2.6 percent of capitalization, while SIF Transilvania depreciated 2.4 percent.

In the oil sector, Rompetrol Rafinare shares dropped 1 percent compared to the previous quotation, to RON 0.097/per unit, while Petrom shares stagnated at RON 0.485. 

Broker Cluj, the only brokerage company listed on the Stock Exchange, dropped 3.8 percent, as utility company Transelectrica shares depreciated 2.74 percent. 

Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) transactions amounted to €8.3 million by the end of the first half of the trading session, while those of the electronic Rasdaq market were worth €2.2 million.  The BET index, which follows the evolution of the 10 most liquid companies, dropped 1.6 percent, while the stock exchange’s general index lost 1.16 percent.
