“We hope that by the end of 2008 we can secure contracts for 100-200 operators, which means annual revenues amounting to some €2 million in 2008,” Sistec SBsol President, Augustin Dragan, told Business Standard.
The center currently employs 30 people, but is set to have some 100 employees by the end of the year, “to cope with the increase in business,” according to Dragan.
Sistec SBsol estimates it will have at least two foreign clients by the end of the year, for which the company will perform outsourcing activities. On the local market, the company is negotiating with several clients interested in externalizing their call-center services. The General Manager of RTC Holding, Octavian Radu, announced in March that he plans to sell Sistec SBsol. Dragan told Business Standard that the Sistec SBsol management would like to buy the company. “We, the management of Sistec SBsol, do not have the necessary funds to buy the majority package, so we need financing from an investment fund, which could own a minority stake,” Dragan said.
According to Sistec SBsol’s President, the IT-focused call-center market is estimated at some €20-30 million per year, not including support centers of multinational companies such as Microsoft and Oracle. “All analysts are mentioning an annual increase of at least 20 percent (of the market) for the coming five years,” Dragan added. Currently, some 250 companies provide call-center services in and 10-20 new companies are created every year. The overall call-center services market was estimated at €73.9 million at the end of 2006.
