Some 2,700 km of national Transylvania roads to be reconditioned by the Ministry of Transports

In a press conference at the Bistrita headquarters of the National Liberal Party (PNL), the Minister announced that the highway construction program will begin next year.

“I aim to sign all contracts for all of the Corridor 4 highway sections, and those for the Transilvania Highway, because the major obstacle that will appear in Romania’s economic development will be generated by the under-development of the transportation infrastructure,” said the Minister.

Orban further declared that he will invest over €600 million in Hunedoara County, over €1 billion in Timis and Arad Counties, and over €1 billion for the road sector alone, while investments in the Transilvania Highway next year will amount to €500 mln. (NewsIn)
