Some 20 percent of companies provide private pensions to employees
Almost 20 percent of local companies are providing private pensions this year to managers and other key-employees, in an attempt to keep them in the company amid high personnel turnover on the market.

Furthermore, 12 percent of companies allow managers profit participations, 11 percent provide stock options and one percent provide education plans for employees’ children, according to the Romanian HR Profile 2008 survey by consulting company Corporate Dynamics International and Business Edu. Some 400 companies were included in the study.

More than 70 percent of companies are promoting their personnel in management positions. Furthermore, over 12 percent of Romanian have paid vacations. “Although it lags behind in the ranking of benefits for management positions, paid vacations show an increase in tools aimed to secure personnel,” according to Corporate Dynamics International Managing Partner, Decebal Leonard Marin. He added increasingly more companies include benefits for managers’ spouses and families.

Other benefits provided for management positions are health insurance (36 percent of comoanies), life insurance (11 percent) and parking spaces (40 percent). Furthermore, the study shows 27 percent of the companies send their managers abroad for training.
