Some 6,000 unionists protested in Bucharest on Tuesday
The march will unfold on the route Piata Victoriei – the headquarter of the Economy Ministry – the Labor Ministry – the Interior Ministry – the Health Ministry – the Agriculture Ministry.

The unionists demand, among others, a raise of the minimum salary to 750 lei and the set up of an investment program, which must include the financial resources to restart the economy in several fields.

Romania's Labor Minister, Ioan Botis, called the representatives of BNS trade union at the ministry he leads to discuss on their demands.

The public order at today's protest is assured by 1,200 police officers and agents. The traffic is restricted in the areas the unionists are protesting.
