Company representatives said that growth was higher than that of the overall market, both in terms of value and volume. “From available data, the market increased 27 percent in volume in April-May 2008, while the company’s growth rate was 32 percent higher compared to the same period in 2007,” states a company press release.
The company invested some €2.4 million in H1 2008 to develop a logistics platform and improve production.
The local cold meat market is worth some €800 million and is expected to grow 10-15 percent by the end of the year. Main players are Cris-Tim, Caroli Foods, Aldis, Principal Company, Angst, Elit and Campofrio.
