Staer targeting expansion to retail parks

“One of the main destinations will be retail parks. We will opt for furniture stores with surfaces exceeding 4,000 square meters, which will be redesigned according to a new concept, totally different than in past years,” according to a declaration for Mediafax by the company’s Marketing Manager, Mirela Gotescu.

Mirela Gotescu further indicated that Staer has relocated its unit in Calarasi at the beginning of February and will be opening a store in the Vaslui SilverMall commercial center shortly.

Last year, the furniture producer relocated and redesigned its stores in Cluj-Napoca, Targu Mures, Iasi, Arad, Constanta, Brasov, Buzau and Deva, an investment exceeding €1 million.

The company has allocated €7 million this year for investments in production, and the expansion of its showroom network and logistics. In 2007 investments amounted to €2.8 mln. According to Mirela Gotescu, these investments as well as the expansion of the company’s product portfolio and the perfecting of ready-to-order kitchens have contributed to an increase in turnover in 2007 to €30.5 mln, up 30 percent year-on-year.
