Stock market investors recovered €1 billion in one month

Although the total value of companies listed on BVB rose €1 billion in one month, the growth registered in November only makes up a small portion of losses posted throughout this year by stock market investors. It did not even cover for losses registered in October. When the stock market hit a historic low, on October 27, the listed companies’ loss in capitalization totaled €12 billion, compared to the end of September.

“These recoveries are welcome, but we must view the evolution of stock market evolution from top to bottom, from the values registered since the beginning of the year, and not the other way around,” said Broker Cluj company’s Deputy General Manager, Adrian Ceuca. “When you realize how little this 50 percent revival means in a client portfolio, it is amazing,” he added.

Brokers have indicated that the stock market could still grow in December, but that BVB is far from rebounding to the sound upward trend of the past years.
