The budget for this investment amounts to €250 million, of which €20 million are the price for the plot of land. “Strabag representatives contacted me two months ago to buy a land, as long as studies for limestone reserves in the region are positive,” said Anina Mayor, Gheorghe Neicu.
The first studies were favorable and the second stage will be completed mid-October, Neicu added. The Austrian company already presented the factory’s model and plans to employ 300 people. Strabag representatives declined to comment.
