The Romanian Minister of Economy and Finances, Varujan Vosganian, also criticized positions taken by international institutions on Romania’s macroeconomic evolution.
According to the National Prognosis Commission, the current account deficit will be 13.6 percent of GDP this year. However, Vosganian added that Romania is not as vulnerable as international agencies say.
On the other hand, the Governor of Romania’s National Bank (BNR), Mugur Isarescu, said that the Romanian economy will become more vulnerable, but that inflation will drop in the September-October period.
