Tender’s airline business soared by 50% in 2009

“We had no suspensions of activity, but there is no market for the activity we are focusing on. We are not a commercial company, we lease planes with crews to other airlines,” the businessman told Business Standard.

According to Tender, the strategy for attracting clients targets mainly the international market, and then the local one. Thus, Jetran Air flies for air operators in Italy but also Africa or the East. “We are negotiating with some companies in Africa. We want to focus on the African market too, because it has potential,” the official indicated. Moreover, Tender plans to invest in increasing the fleet, which currently includes seven airplanes.

According to market data, Tender’s air operator is in insolvency. Sources in the industry say that the businessman intends to establish a new air company, which would take over Jetran’s assets, after these are auctioned off by the judicial administrator.
