Teodor Ancuta looking for investments
Ancuta, one of the most active businessmen, who has contributed to the creation of legislation for the capital market, is also shareholder of the Sibiu Monetary- Financial and Commodities Exchange (BMFMS), through the Altius company, whose single associate he is, with 2 percent (5 percent voting right), and of Casa Romana de Compensatie, also 2 percent.

Following 21 years in agriculture, Ancuta started the Lactofarm company in 1991, of which he owns 37 percent of shares. Originally planned for animal husbandry, the company moved on to produce cold meats, and Ancuta is now looking for investors to provide some €20 million to expand the meat processing segment, whose turnover is €2 million, and the milk processing unit.

“We are not considering selling, but rather are looking for partners to come with money, to develop the business. We are not interested in owning a lot in a small business, but rather a little in a well-functioning business,” said Ancuta for Business Standard.
