The Head of Ford Romania, Dionisio Campos, said at the end of last week that the first car to be produced in the Craiova plant will leave the factory at the beginning of September, and the Chairman of Romania’s Senate, Mircea Geoana, who was in Craiova for a meeting with Ford Romania officials, said that the exact date is 8 September.
“As you know, Ford is maintaining its commitment to Craiova. The first Ford vehicle to be produced there will exit the plant’s gate at the beginning of September. Once production starts, there will be changes not only at the factory level, but also at the community level,” Campos said.
“I am honored to be here on 8 September, when the first Transit Connect will roll out of the plant’s gate. This is the beginning of what I strongly believe will be a success story,” Geoana said.
