Almajeanu took into consideration the internet penetration rate, the purchasing power, the number of internet users, and the online advertising market in both Romania and France, drawing the conclusion that the local internet industry could amount to €150 mln, if specific problems keeping it behind mature markets, such as France, did not exist.

The French entrepreneur blames a lack of management, know-how, innovation, and education among advertising clients and users, and a low number of independent players for the poor evolution of this market. Moreover, the Romanian market also faces a series of specific local practices, such as spam, lack of transparency, and content theft.
