The Private Government on tourism: We should target Eastern markets to promote Romania

The Private Government is a wide project by Business Standard, aimed to find solutions for Romania’s vital problems.

According to the businesspeople who attended the session, promoting local tourism on international markets should be done in a personalized manner for each country.

The CEO of the Trend Hospitality consultancy company, Tinu Sebesanu, said that authorities in the field should consider Eastern European markets, which are now being neglected, to promote the Romanian tourism market.

“Tourism is the only industry in the world which competes with the entire world. First, I would bring Romanians to Romania. If Romanians will come to Romania, foreigners will also some,” Sebesanu said.

“Many areas in Romania have been destroyed; if we look at Bucharest and the country, we see there is no coherent strategy, there is not even a plan, everybody does what they want, where they want,” said the General Manager of the Athenee Place Hilton five-star hotel, Friedrich Niemann.
