TNT Romania forecasts 30% rise in net profit
“Our forecast is based mainly on last year’s business dynamics which rose 30 percent, and on a 40 percent increase in net profit compared to 2006, when we registered €4 million,” TNT Romania’s General Manager, Bogdan Enache, told Business Standard.

“We managed to detach ourselves from the classical delivery concept, of the small document or package, to become service integrator. We are currently delivering six-ton packages anywhere in the world in 20 hours,” Enache said.
Some 15 percent of the company’s income is generated by the local market and a further 85 percent by external deliveries. TNT’s major clients are in the banking sector, and the car parts and pharmaceutical industries.

The company is part of Dutch TNT group, world leader in the delivery, transportation and logistics industry. On the local market, its main competitors are DHL, UPS and FedEx.
