The refinery, listed on BVB’s electronic RASDAQ market, registered a 30 percent increase in quotations since the beginning of 2008, and is currently worth €103 million, some €2.5 million than Rompetrol Rafinare, seen as the most important company of the Rompetrol group.
Petrom oil group still leads the ranking of listed companies, with capitalization worth €2.7 billion, although its value plunged this year, due to the financial crisis. One year ago, its capitalization was nearing €10 bln.
On Petrom’s heels are lenders BRD-Groupe Societe Generale and Banca Transilvania, aluminum producer Alro, and utility companies Transelectrica and Transgaz.
Only two of the financial investment companies, SIF Muntenia (€145 mln) and SIF Oltenia (€107.4 mln) are among the top 10.
The top 10 listed companies were worth €6.6 billion at the end of November, while the total value of companies listed on BVB and RASDAQ is €16.6 bln.
